House Passes Highway and Transportation Funding Act
(Washington, DC) – U.S. Representative Rob Woodall (GA 07) issued the following statement regarding his support of H.R. 2353, the “Highway and Transportation Funding Act,” which would extend the federal highway and mass transit programs through July 31, 2015, as a long-term solution is completed.
“Providing efficient, accountable, and lasting solutions for the American people is the number one priority, and this bill creates a necessary pathway forward to reach that goal,” said Rep. Woodall. “America’s infrastructure needs cannot be fully addressed in a short-term measure, but as a mechanism for getting where we want to be, the House acted to prevent disruption of projects across the country and is committed to providing certainty for our states and businesses.”
Congressman Woodall represents the Seventh Congressional District of Georgia, which includes the majority of Gwinnett and Forsyth counties, and currently serves as Chairman of the Rules Subcommittee on Legislative and Budget Process, as well as serving on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, and Budget Committee.
