Woodall Statement Regarding DHS Funding
Today, U.S. Representative Rob Woodall (GA 07) issued the following statement regarding his vote against H.R. 240, the “Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2015.”
“In January, as well as twice last week, I voted to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security, while standing against the President’s unconstitutional overreach, in good faith that our Senate counterparts would honor the process in place to hash out the differences between the two chambers,” said Rep. Woodall. “Sadly, the Senate Democrats denied Americans this opportunity. When the Senate rejected any partnership with the House on language, I voted 'no' on the Senate's flawed bill.”
Woodall represents the Seventh Congressional District of Georgia, which includes the majority of Gwinnett and Forsyth counties, and currently serves as Chairman of the Rules Subcommittee on Legislative and Budget Process.
