Woodall Statement on Speaker Boehner’s Resignation
(Washington, DC) – Today, U.S. Representative Rob Woodall issued the following statement regarding Speaker John Boehner’s announcement that he will resign from Congress at the end of October.
“Speaker Boehner led this House at a time of extreme political unrest; not just amongst those in Washington, but all across America,” said Rep. Woodall. “I’m grateful for the sacrifice he and his family have made over the years as he served the American people with distinction. I wish him the very best, and remain committed to continuing the work of moving America in the right direction.”
Congressman Woodall represents the Seventh Congressional District of Georgia, which includes the majority of Forsyth and Gwinnett counties, and currently serves as Chairman of the Rules Subcommittee on Legislative and Budget Process, as well as serving on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, and Budget Committee.
