On Monday evening, the House passed two amendments to the Energy and Water Appropriations Bill that were written and introduced by Congressman Rob Woodall (R-GA). Under a new policy implemented by House Republicans, all money saved from programs cut in appropriations bills can be deposited in a Spending Reduction Account, so that money cut from programs will not be spent on any other projects.

Senator Lugar signed on as a co-sponsor to S. 13, the “FairTax Act of 2011.” Introduced by Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), S. 13 is the Senate version of H.R. 25, also called the “FairTax Act of 2011”. Congressman Graves signed on to H.R. 25, the House-introduced version of the FairTax.
