Interning for Congressman Woodall in Washington, D.C.
In my Washington, D.C. office, internships run in three separate terms (the fall, spring or summer semesters) for college students and recent graduates. Through the various tasks that interns are assigned, they gain invaluable work experience and knowledge of the legislative process. In Washington, DC, interns' responsibilities will vary. They will be asked to answer constituent phone calls, provide Capitol tours, research legislation for the legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings, and answer constituent letters on various issues before Congress. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a Congressional office.
HOW TO APPLY
Note: Internships are available to students who have completed a minimum of one year of undergraduate education. High school students are not considered.
Applications for the summer internship program are due Monday, March 9th by 5 p.m.
